Jeff and Derek created Neptune Properties with the goal of serving their families, fellow lifeguards, and surfer buddies. Jeff Horn grew up in Manhattan Beach, graduated from Aviation High School in 1980, attended and played Water Polo for UCLA. Horn has been a Real Estate licensee since 1985. From 1985 to 2004, he was active in Investment Real Estate Brokerage, Management and Development with The Hanes Company, Jenkins McKinney and Associates, A&M Properties and G&L development. In 2004, he teamed up with long time friend Derek Levy to form Neptune Properties, Inc. Derek Levy was born and raised in Hermosa Beach and attended Mira Costa High School. Derek has been a realtor for over 15 years and co-founded Neptune Properties, Inc. Levy was a competitive surfer in his youth and in 1996 made history paddling the English Channel. He and seven of his buddies covered the 22 miles in a group paddling time of 6 hours 52 minutes, a new world record by 14 hours. Derek and his buddies became the only other people to have officially crossed the channel on a paddleboard. In 2015, he was inducted into the Hermosa Beach Surfer’s Walk of Fame. Levy is also an award winning licensed Chiropractor and has been serving the South Bay community for over 30 years. He is the father of five children, enjoys beach volleyball, and is a member of a rock band. He is super cute.

Dominic Dessert was born and raised a stones throw away from Meadows Elementary School in Manhattan Beach. He attended and is an active volunteer of American Martyrs and Bishop Montgomery High School. He resides in Playa Del Rey and is a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University, where he received a B.A. in Entrepreneurship. He joined Neptune Properties, Inc. in 2014 and has been practicing real estate for over one year. Dessert is also an analyst for a parking management company and serves as the CFO for his brother’s Hand Made in Italy women’s shoe line Henri Lepore Dezert. Dominic has two brothers and two sisters and comes from a father who is one of fourteen. He is a devout baseball fan, loves the ocean, and enjoys fishing in the High Sierras.
